Our Mission

Our mission is to provide a safe, supportive, chemically free environment with a structured a structured home-like atmosphere for adult men who are alcohol and/or chemically dependent.

Because we recognize that alcohol and chemical dependency affects the whole person, lrrh offers the resident a program of services that emphasizes a holistic approach to recovery using Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous philosophy.

Our primary focus is relapse prevention with an emphasis on gaining a safe and sober living environment upon discharge. Lake Region Recovery Homes integrates the 12-step program of Alcoholics Anonymous with evidence-based treatment, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and Behavioral Management while also including the spiritual element.

Clients are expected to work the 12 steps and do regular homework assignments. The clients also attend weekly aa/na meetings, obtain a sponsor, volunteer, participate in group and individual sessions, and are required to seek employment or pursue educational goals.

Meet Our Director!

Lake Region Half-way House Board of Directors would like to introduce our new Director, Laurie Kessler, who was hired on May 15, 2023.

We feel truly fortunate to be working with Laurie as she comes to Lake Region Half-way House with over 30 years of experience in Substance Use Disorder Treatment. Laurie has held the positions of Program Director and Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor. We believe her experience and expertise in the field of substance abuse counseling will be most beneficial to our low intensity program.

Under Laurie’s leadership and structure, we feel our program will thrive. She has implemented innovative ideas and has improved programming and structure. Laurie will be working closely with county referrals, probation, residential treatment programs and health care facilities. The client’s primary focus will remain their recovery, seeking employment opportunities, attending outside AA and NA meetings, learning to implement into their daily life the tools learned in residential treatment and to work themselves back into the community.

We are excited about having Laurie on board and look forward to your new working relationship with Lake Region Half-way Home. Please let Laurie know if you need any additional information moving forward.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Andrew Miller

Lake Region Half-way House Board President
